OUR IMPACTS

Social Context in
Cambodian Villages

  • Low-income communities are disproportionately affected by mismanaged plastic due to inadequate or nonexistent waste management.
  • Their living conditions are marked by instability with limited access to basic social services, unsafe housing, and climate vulnerability.
  • Informal waste pickers often face marginalization, exploitation, and unstable incomes due to fluctuating waste prices.
