Nilox & TONTOTON: Taking Action Against Plastic Pollution
Plastic waste continues to threaten marine and coastal ecosystems, especially non-recyclable plastics that are often left behind. Nilox has partnered with TONTOTON to help remove mismanaged plastic from the environment and improve the livelihoods of local waste-picking communities.
Nilox, a brand of Esprinet Group, is a leading name in the Sport and Outdoor Technology market. Originally known for IT products, Nilox has expanded its focus through continuous R&D investments, offering innovative solutions for various technology needs. As a brand committed to progress, Nilox recognizes the importance of environmental responsibility and taking action against plastic pollution.
Why Nilox Supports TONTOTON
Through this collaboration:
✅ 51 tons of non-recyclable plastic have been collected from coastal areas. 86% of plastic collected is Potential OBP and the rest 14% is Shoreline OBP.
✅ 93 waste pickers and households have benefited from increased income.
✅ 66% of collectors were women, supporting female empowerment in waste management.
✅ 14 coastal villages in Sihanoukville, Stueng Hav & Koh Rong Island, Cambodia, were cleaned, preventing further plastic leakage into the ocean.

Nilox & TONTOTON: Supporting house renovation for
outstanding waste pickers
Informal waste pickers are the backbone of post-consumer plastic collection, with many of them living in difficult conditions.
Through Nilox’s support, TONTOTON renovated the home of a waste picker family, providing them with better living conditions.
This initiative aligns with Nilox’s commitment to supporting the Social+ OBP standard.
